Four community focused charities Essex Indians, Basildon side by side, Heritage Connect CIC and The Next Chosen generation CIC operating in Essex and the greater London boroughs have come together with a common goal of encouraging young people to be more community centered and working towards self-enrichment alongside collective growth. The Youth Impact award will be awarded to 24 exceptional young people(Aged between 8-21), nominated by their peers and the wider community, in the following categories ;
- The Super Volunteer Award: Awarded to a young person who has gone the extra mile to raise funds or has contributed time and effort for a good cause or charity.
- The Young Hero Award: awarded to a young person who has overcome personal challenges to excel academically and made a positive impact among their peers.
- The Big Heart Award: awarded to a young person who has incessantly stepped up as a carer to friends or family and extended a helping hand in difficult circumstances.
- Friend of the Earth Award: Awarded to a young person who works towards improving or conserving their local environment.
- Exceptional Talent Award: Awarded to a young person who has demonstrated exceptional talent in the arts and sports.
- Super Hero Award: Awarded to 4 young people with disabilities who have made remarkable achievements.
Each category would have two age groups. 1st group for ages 8-14 and the next for ages 15-21. There would be one winner and one runners up from each age group in each category apart from the Super Hero award where there would be 4 awardees from between the ages group 8-21.
